Eagle Optics
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Eagle Optics for their generous donation of 10 new Vortex binoculars to the Bobolinking Project. The optics will be used extensively for our field research, conservation efforts, and educational programs. Thanks to their contribution, our high school students will have the opportunity to learn about grassland birds, their habitat, and conservation.

Rich Hickson
Many of the wonderful photos on this website were provided by Rich Hickson, a volunteer bird monitor, at Midewin. The Bobolinking Project would like to extend a sincere thanks to Rich for giving us permission to use them. Rich has been a monitor for 8 years and believes that volunteering at Midewin is so enjoyable because of the variety of opportunities available there. He has been involved in frog monitoring, breeding bird surveys, hawk/owl surveys and fence/bridge construction. Photography is his passion and his photos were used in the Birds of Midewin brochure. He feels lucky to be volunteer at Midewin as it ranks top in his mind for local wildlife photography.
